Perception of Risk
Perception of Risk presentations provide information about the dangers of youth alcohol use and drinking and driving, vaping/tobacco, or cannabis. These presentations provide statistics specific to San Juan County for youth and adult use.
Media Literacy
The evidence based media literacy series, Media Ready, provides information about the various techniques that the media uses to persuade youth to use alcohol and other drugs. Presentations analyze alcohol advertising and show youth hidden messages in television and print media. Works best with grades 6-8, but can be adapted for other age groups.
Prescription Drug Misuse
This presentation provides information on:

- The dangers of misusing prescription painkillers
- The dangers of sharing medications with those who have not been prescribed the drugs
- Safe storage of prescription drugs in the home
- Safe and proper disposal of unused or expired medications. It also gives a list of permanent take back box locations.
This presentation focuses on parents and youth but can be adapted to fit any group.
